Sweepstakes Official Rules
Lametto Rose Race Team
Monthly Sweepstakes
1. Sponsor
The Lametto Rose Race Team Monthly Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is administered by Lametto Rose Race Team ("Sponsor," "we," "us," or "our"), a not-for-profit race team based at 2811-50 Ordnance Street, Toronto, Ontario M6K 0C9, Canada.
2. Overview and Structure
2.1 What This Sweepstakes Is
The Sweepstakes is a recurring monthly promotional contest with a pre-declared Grand Prize for each Entry Period. It is not a 50/50 draw, raffle, or lottery, and the Grand Prize value does not depend on the number of entries received, ticket sales, or revenue generated during any Entry Period.
2.2 Monthly Cycle
Each monthly Entry Period runs from the 15th day of a calendar month at 12:01 AM Eastern Time and ends on the last day of that same calendar month at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. The random draw for each Entry Period is conducted on the 1st day of the following calendar month at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, with the winner announced by 3:00 PM Eastern Time on the same day. A new Entry Period begins on the 15th of each subsequent month.
2.3 Inaugural Period
The first Entry Period runs from May 15, 2026 (12:01 AM Eastern Time) to May 31, 2026 (11:59 PM Eastern Time). The draw is conducted on June 1, 2026 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time.
2.4 Prize Variation by Month
The specific Grand Prize for each monthly Entry Period is published on lamettorose.com prior to the start of that Entry Period, and is incorporated into these Official Rules as "Schedule A" for that month. Schedule A for each month sets out: (a) the description of the Grand Prize, (b) the Approximate Retail Value (ARV) in CAD, (c) any prize-specific conditions, restrictions, or alternatives, and (d) the prize provider, if other than the Sponsor. Entry into a given monthly Entry Period constitutes acceptance of the Schedule A published for that period. Schedule A cannot be amended retroactively after an Entry Period opens, except as permitted by Section 11.2 (Modification or Termination).
2.5 Permitted Prize Types
The Grand Prize for any given month may be:
- A service-based prize (e.g., a subscription, training program, or experience), valued at its declared retail equivalent;
- A physical product (e.g., a bicycle, equipment package, or merchandise bundle), valued at its declared MSRP;
- A fixed cash prize with a pre-declared dollar amount in CAD; or
- A mixed package combining any of the above, with a single combined ARV declared.
The Grand Prize for any month is a fixed amount declared in advance. The value of the Grand Prize is never a percentage of, or otherwise dependent on, the number of entries received, the revenue generated, or any variable tied to Entry Period activity.
3. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding the Province of Quebec) who are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their province of residence (whichever is older), at the time of entry. The following individuals are not eligible:
- Officers, directors, employees, contractors, athletes, and volunteers of the Sponsor, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and persons residing in the same household;
- Officers, directors, and employees of any prize provider for the relevant month (as identified in Schedule A), and members of their immediate families;
- Any individual who has won a Lametto Rose Race Team sweepstakes Grand Prize within the preceding twelve (12) months;
- Any individual prohibited from participating in promotional contests under applicable law.
The Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage and to disqualify any entrant whose participation would violate these Official Rules or applicable law.
4. How to Enter
There are two methods of entry. All entries, regardless of method, have an equal mathematical chance of being selected as the winner.
4.1 Method 1 — Online Purchase
During an active Entry Period, entrants may receive entries by making a qualifying purchase at lamettorose.com. Each $1.00 CAD spent (before applicable taxes and shipping) on any product sold on lamettorose.com generates one (1) entry. Designated Entry Packages may include bonus entries as specifically disclosed on each product page; the entry quantity for each Entry Package is disclosed at the point of purchase. Entries are credited to the Entry Period in which the qualifying transaction is completed. Entries do not carry over between months.
4.2 Method 2 — Free Mail-In Entry (No Purchase Necessary)
To enter without making a purchase, mail a 3" × 5" postcard or piece of paper to the address below containing all of the following:
- Your full legal name;
- Your complete Canadian mailing address;
- Your phone number;
- Your email address;
- The words "SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY"; and
- The calendar month for which you are entering (e.g., "ENTRY FOR JUNE 2026").
Lametto Rose Race Team Sweepstakes Entry
2811-50 Ordnance Street
Toronto, ON M6K 0C9
Canada
Mail-in entry requirements:
- Must be postmarked on or before the last day of the applicable Entry Period and received within ten (10) days after the close of that period;
- One entry per postcard. Multiple entries on a single postcard will result in disqualification of all entries on that postcard;
- Limit: one (1) mail-in entry per person per Entry Period;
- Mechanically reproduced, illegible, incomplete, or fraudulent entries will not be accepted;
- Photocopies, facsimiles, and electronic transmissions are not accepted;
- The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, or postage-due mail.
4.3 Equal Treatment of Entries
All entries — whether received by online purchase or by free mail-in — are entered into the same random draw and have an identical mathematical probability of being selected. A purchase does not improve odds beyond providing additional individual entries; each entry is treated identically by the random number generator regardless of source.
5. The Grand Prize
5.1 Prize for the Current Entry Period
The Grand Prize for the active Entry Period is set out in Schedule A published at lamettorose.com/pages/current-giveaway and incorporated into these Official Rules by reference. Schedule A discloses the prize description, ARV in CAD, and any prize-specific conditions.
5.2 General Prize Conditions
Unless otherwise stated in the applicable Schedule A:
- One (1) Grand Prize is awarded per monthly Entry Period;
- The Grand Prize is awarded "as is," with no cash equivalent and no substitution, except that the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable;
- The Grand Prize is non-transferable;
- The Grand Prize must be claimed in accordance with Section 7 within thirty (30) days of first notification, failing which it is forfeited.
5.3 Service-Based Prizes
If the Grand Prize is a subscription, membership, training program, experience, or other service-based offering:
- "Lifetime" or "perpetual" terms mean for so long as the relevant service continues to be operated by its provider. If the service is discontinued, sold, materially changed, or otherwise becomes unavailable, the Sponsor is not liable to replace it, refund its value, or provide any compensation, except as may be required by law;
- Service prizes are activated on the winner's account by the Sponsor or the prize provider within ten (10) business days of completed claim verification (see Section 7);
- The ARV stated for a service prize is a good-faith estimate based on then-current pricing and an assumed usage period disclosed in Schedule A; actual realized value to the winner may be greater or lesser.
5.4 Physical-Product Prizes
If the Grand Prize is a physical product:
- The product is shipped to the winner's Canadian address at the Sponsor's cost within twenty (20) business days of completed claim verification;
- The Sponsor is not responsible for damage during shipping beyond reasonable insurance coverage;
- Manufacturer warranties (if any) pass through to the winner;
- Customs duties, taxes, or import fees, if any, are the responsibility of the winner.
5.5 Cash Prizes
If the Grand Prize is a cash amount:
- The cash amount is fixed and disclosed in advance in Schedule A; it does not vary based on entries received or revenue generated;
- The cash prize is paid by Interac e-Transfer to a Canadian bank account or by cheque mailed to the winner's Canadian address, at the Sponsor's discretion, within ten (10) business days of completed claim verification;
- For cash prizes equal to or exceeding $10,000 CAD, the Sponsor may require additional identity verification (in addition to standard claim verification) to comply with applicable financial regulations;
- Cash prizes are paid in Canadian dollars only.
5.6 Mixed-Package Prizes
If the Grand Prize is a mixed package (e.g., cash + physical product, or service + experience), Schedule A will specify the components, the ARV of each component, and the single combined ARV. Each component is governed by the applicable subsection above (5.3, 5.4, or 5.5) for delivery and conditions.
6. Winner Selection
6.1 Random Draw
The winner for each Entry Period is selected by a certified random number generator from among all valid entries received during that Entry Period, including any valid mail-in entries postmarked during that period and received within the timeframe described in Section 4.2. The draw is conducted on the date and time specified in Section 2.2.
6.2 Odds of Winning
Odds of winning depend on the total number of valid entries received during each Entry Period. The total entry count for any closed Entry Period is available upon written request to the contact address in Section 14.
6.3 Mathematical Skill-Testing Question
To comply with Canadian law, the selected entrant must, without assistance of any kind (mechanical, electronic, or otherwise), correctly answer a time-limited four-part mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor by email or telephone within forty-eight (48) hours of being contacted. The question will involve four arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question within the time period will result in disqualification, in which case the Sponsor may conduct a redraw to select an alternate winner.
7. Winner Notification and Claim Process
7.1 Notification
The Sponsor will attempt to notify the selected entrant by email and telephone using the contact information provided at entry, within one (1) hour of the draw. The Sponsor will make up to three (3) reasonable contact attempts over a forty-eight (48) hour period.
7.2 Claim Requirements
To claim the Grand Prize, the selected entrant must, within thirty (30) days of first notification:
- Respond to the Sponsor's notification;
- Correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question (Section 6.3);
- Provide a valid government-issued photo identification verifying name, date of birth, and Canadian residency;
- Sign and return a Declaration and Release confirming eligibility, compliance with these Official Rules, and granting publicity rights as set out in Section 9; and
- For cash prizes of $10,000 CAD or greater, provide additional identity verification documentation as reasonably required.
If the selected entrant cannot be reached, declines the prize, is found ineligible, fails the skill-testing question, or fails to complete the claim process within the required timeframe, the entrant forfeits all rights to the prize and the Sponsor may, at its discretion, conduct a redraw to select an alternate winner from the remaining valid entries received during the same Entry Period.
7.3 Prize Delivery
Following verification of all claim requirements, the Grand Prize is delivered or activated within the timeframe specified in Section 5 for the applicable prize type, or as otherwise stated in Schedule A.
8. Taxes
8.1 General
Under current Canadian tax law, prizes won in a genuine chance-based promotional contest by a Canadian resident are generally treated as windfalls and not taxable as income to the recipient. The Sponsor makes no representation regarding the winner's specific tax circumstances and strongly recommends the winner consult an independent tax advisor. Any taxes, duties, fees, or other charges that may be assessed in connection with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
8.2 Cash Prizes — Large Amounts
For cash prizes of $10,000 CAD or greater, the Sponsor may, in its discretion, request that the winner provide their Social Insurance Number for record-keeping purposes consistent with applicable financial-services regulations. Refusal to provide identity-verification information may result in delayed payment but does not, on its own, disqualify the winner.
8.3 Non-Cash Prizes
Non-cash prizes are valued at the ARV disclosed in the applicable Schedule A. The Sponsor does not withhold or remit tax on non-cash prizes. The Sponsor is not responsible for any tax liability arising from receipt or use of the prize.
9. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner consents to the use of their first name, last initial, city and province of residence, photograph (if provided), and a brief statement, by the Sponsor for promotional purposes in any medium without further compensation or notice, except where prohibited by law. A winner may request anonymity in writing within seventy-two (72) hours of notification; granting such request is at the Sponsor's sole discretion and may, depending on the circumstances, require the winner to forfeit the prize.
10. General Conditions and Restrictions
10.1 Void Where Prohibited
The Sweepstakes is void in the Province of Quebec and any other jurisdiction where it is prohibited by law.
10.2 Entry Limits
There is no limit on the number of entries an individual may receive through qualifying online purchases. Mail-in entries are limited to one (1) per person per Entry Period. Attempts to circumvent the mail-in entry limit (e.g., submitting multiple mail-in entries under different names or addresses linked to the same individual) will result in disqualification of all such entries.
10.3 Fraudulent Entries
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry that the Sponsor reasonably believes was generated through fraudulent or improper means, including but not limited to: use of bots, scripts, or automated entry methods; submission of false information; account manipulation; payment fraud or chargeback abuse; or any other tampering with the entry process. The Sponsor may report attempted fraud to law enforcement.
10.4 Refund Policy
Purchases of products from lamettorose.com that generate sweepstakes entries are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated otherwise. Once entries are credited to an Entry Period, they cannot be refunded, transferred, modified, or applied to a different Entry Period.
11. Modification, Suspension, and Termination
11.1 Program-Level Changes
The Sponsor may, with thirty (30) days' written notice posted on lamettorose.com:
- Modify the structure, schedule, or mechanics of the Sweepstakes (e.g., changing entry calculation, draw timing, or prize categories);
- Pause the program for a defined or indefinite period;
- Terminate the program entirely.
11.2 Single-Month Modification or Termination
The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate any individual Entry Period if it becomes incapable of running as planned due to fraud, technical failure, force majeure (including but not limited to natural disasters, public-health emergencies, government orders, or war), judicial or governmental action, prize provider default, or any other cause beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control. In such event:
- If the cause arises before the Entry Period closes, the Sponsor will, where practicable, refund online purchase entries and notify all entrants;
- If the cause arises after the Entry Period closes but before the draw, the Sponsor will, where practicable, conduct the draw with valid entries already received and either deliver the Grand Prize, deliver a substitute prize of equal or greater value, or — as a last resort and only in true force-majeure cases — refund online purchase entries;
- If a prize provider fails to deliver the prize, the Sponsor will substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its expense.
12. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants is used solely for the purpose of administering the Sweepstakes, notifying the winner, and as otherwise described in the Sponsor's Privacy Policy. By entering, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Personal information of non-winners is retained for one (1) year after the close of the relevant Entry Period and then securely destroyed. Winners' personal information may be retained longer to the extent necessary for tax, regulatory, or recordkeeping purposes. By providing your email, you consent to receive transactional communications related to your entry. Marketing communications require separate opt-in consent; you may opt out at any time without affecting your entry.
13. Limitation of Liability
By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless the Sponsor, each applicable prize provider, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, losses, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or relating to participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of the prize, except where such release is prohibited by law or arises from gross negligence or wilful misconduct. The Sponsor is not responsible for technical failures, internet disruptions, lost or misdirected entries, errors in entry recording, or any other circumstances beyond its reasonable control. The Sweepstakes and the prize are provided "as is" with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, except as required by applicable consumer protection legislation.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of the Province of Ontario sitting in Toronto have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Any claim must be commenced within one (1) year of the relevant draw date or be permanently barred. Before commencing any legal action, the parties agree to attempt informal good-faith resolution.
15. Amendments
The Sponsor may amend these Official Rules at any time by posting an updated version at lamettorose.com/pages/promo-rules. Amendments to general rules do not apply retroactively to entries already received for a closed Entry Period. Amendments to a Schedule A for an open Entry Period are not permitted except as set out in Section 11.2.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
